Fitness in Ireland has moved from a few large leisure centres to a dense mix of 24-hour budget gyms, boutique studios and personal-training businesses. This list covers the companies on the CRO register whose principal activity is fitness facilities.
What to check before you join
- Contract terms. Read the minimum term, notice period and cancellation fee; direct-debit memberships are a common source of complaints to the CCPC.
- Instructor qualifications. Ask whether trainers are registered with REPs Ireland or hold a recognised fitness qualification, and whether first-aid-trained staff are on site.
- Induction. A gym should offer an induction before you use the equipment unsupervised.
How this list is built
Companies are included when the CRO register gives NACE code 93.13 (fitness facilities) as their principal activity. Phone numbers, websites and descriptions come from each company's own website; nothing is copied from other directories.
