Cleaning services in Ireland

Cleaning companies in Ireland

Commercial cleaning in Ireland is dominated by contract cleaners serving offices, schools, healthcare and retail, while domestic cleaning is mostly small local firms. This list covers the companies on the CRO register whose principal activity is cleaning activities, including window cleaning and specialist cleaning.

What to check before you hire

• Employment standards. Contract cleaning is covered by an Employment Regulation Order setting minimum pay and conditions for cleaners; a compliant contractor will be able to confirm it.
• Insurance and vetting. Ask for public liability and employer's liability cover and, for cleaners entering homes or schools, how staff are vetted.
• Scope. Agree a written schedule of what is cleaned and how often; disputes usually come from assumptions.

How this list is built

Companies are included when the CRO register gives NACE code 81.2 (cleaning activities) as their principal activity. Phone numbers, websites and descriptions come from each company's own website; nothing is copied from other directories.
